How to set up or troubleshoot your Shipping Profiles

Are you not receiving shipping rates at check out? Even after you have enabled your shipping options in the app and set your products fulfillment service to FBA Shipping? Now it is time to check your Shipping profile.

Keep in mind that when you sell your FBA products on another channel like Shopify you are no longer using the traditional FBA program with Amazon. When you sell your FBA products on another channel Amazon no longer collects a referral fee from your sells. So, you are now using the Multi Channel Fulfillment program or MCF. There is one main difference between these programs. With the MCF program Amazon will not ship your products outside of the country that the products are stored in.

For example, products that are stored in the US can only be shipped inside of the US. This is the same for Mexico, Canada, Australia, Japan, and the United Kingdom. The only location that is different is Europe. If you have products stored in either France, Spain, Italy, or Germany you actually are able to ship to the following locations.

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden

Now that we have that out of the way let’s look at how a shipping profile should be set up!

Click on Settings in the lower left hand corner. On the next page click on Shipping and delivery.

On the next page you can see your Shipping Profiles. Most stores have 1 General Shipping Profile. For more complex store set ups, they may have multiple shipping profiles. Especially if they are fulfilling their orders from different locations or apps. Click on Manage rates.

On this page you will want to look at Products, Shipping From, Shipping To, and the Rate. 1. All of your FBA stored products should be in this shipping profile. 2. You should be shipping from one location. This location should say either FBA Shipping (for older Shopify stores) or be set to a physical address (for newer Shopify stores.) In the photo below this is an example of a new Shopify stores set up. 3. You should only be Shipping To the countries that your products are stored in. 4. The shipping rate should be FBA Shipping by ByteStand.

Make sure to make any necessary changes and always SAVE your changes!
