A ByteStand guide to staying sane during BFCM, Prime Days, Christmas, and every chaotic moment in between.

Hi Friends! Cara here from ByteStand. If you’re reading this, you’re either:
It’s holiday season as I type this – aka the annual combination of joy, skyrocketing order volume, and a to-do list that somehow grows faster than your revenue. To make sure sails smoothly through the holidays (And the rest of 2025), this post walks through all the key places where your ByteStand MCF Shipping and Shopify settings matter.
Ten minutes now could save you 10,000 moments of chaos later. Let’s dig in.
Depending on when you installed ByteStand, your app will be set up in one of two ways:
Lucky you. Flex makes life easier.
Make sure the correct Amazon marketplace is selected for every product that ByteStand should manage.
if you sell only in the USA, choose USA.
If you sell in CAN, choose CAN.
You get the idea.
If you want ByteStand to automatically send orders to Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (most stores do!), this box needs to be checked.
This is the number one “silent order killer.”
Your Shopify SKU must match your Amazon SKU exactly.
Exact Spelling. Exact caps. Exact everything.
If something doesn’t match →
❌ Don’t fix it in Amazon
✔ Fix it in Shopify
Totally fine – your process loks a little different.
If the “stocked at” location says ByteStand, you’re good – ByteStand is manaing those SKUs for fulfillment.
Next Step:
Look at your product SKUs. Same rule as above: SKUS must match Amazon exactly. Once that is done, hold tight – your next relevant step is coming.

This part depends on whether you’re using Flex.
Shopify’s own automatic fulfillment setting must be OFF. Bytestand’s Flex page controls fulfillment.
This means that if Shopify is also trying to control fulfillment = settings cancel each other out = orders fail = not good.
To double-check:
Shopify Settings > General > Order Processing > Automatic Fulfillment > Turn OFF
Your automatic fulfillment lives inside Shopify. So here > set automatic fulfillment on or off, based on what your business needs.

Now let’s make sure your store actually lets people check out – and with the correct shipping rates.
Go to: Shopify > Settings > Shipping and Delivery
Every Shopify store has one.
Some stores have custom profiles too — if so, check each one.
Inside your profile:
If you don’t see it, your store is not fully connected. Don’t panic – watch our set up video or reach out for help. The video is in this blog post.
Make sure you are allowing shipping to the countries included in your Amazon marketplace.
Example: If your Amazon MCF account fulfills only US orders → don’t list Canada in your Shopify zone unless you mean to.
Your rate area will look different depending on whether you use:
Live Amazon Shipping Rates – ByteStand works with Amazon to provide the rates directly – easy.
OR
Manual Fixed Rates – You set your own shipping titles and cost for customers check out.
This step is essential whether you use manual fixed shipping rate or live Amazon shipping rates with ByteStand. Amazon only recognizes two shipping titles in an order:
That is it.
So even if your Shopify checkout shows fancy name like:
…your ByteStand Rate Cards must translate those name ot one of the two Amazon-approved terms: Standard or Expedited.
If titles don’t translate correctly then Amazon rejects the order. This is the #2 most common reason orders fail.

Check Your Sync Settings (If You Have Sync Enabled)
Inside ByteStand MCF Shipping, open Sync Settings.
Confirm:
✔ Your inventory sync is on (if you use it). This means you’d have a ‘Sync’ button on the home page of the app. Then, you’d want to navigate to Products > Sync Settings. Using the purple menu in ByteStand.
✔ Your pricing sync (if enabled) looks correct. This is also in your Sync Settings. The column all the way to the right.
✔ You haven’t accidentally synced something you didn’t mean to. Hint: you can only set up sync for products that are ALSO set up on the Flex page.
If sync is enabled but misconfigured, your Shopify inventory or pricing can behave weirdly.
This delays sending orders to Amazon for a set amount of time.
Useful if you:
If it’s on, make sure the delay window matches your business needs.
Rules let you restrict or adjust Order Fulfillment Locations based on certain conditions. Keep in mind that ByteStand was used to be the priority Fulfillment location but maybe you want to block specific orders from being sent to Amazon. Use this feature.
Great for creating:
Check that your rules still match your business goals.
ByteStand lets Shopify bundles fulfill through Amazon even if Amazon doesn’t officially support them.
If you use virtual bundles, confirm:
Finally, glance at the Orders section inside the app.
Here you can spot:
If anything looks odd, now’s the time to fix it — not mid–Holiday chaos.
If you’ve made it this far — congratulations.
Your settings are aligned, your rates make sense, your SKUs match, and Amazon MCF is set up to handle the surge ahead.
This is the stuff that prevents:
ByteStand + Amazon MCF is powerful when configured correctly.
Now you’re configured correctly.
